Please leave out players like Durant/Rose. Although they most likely will hang their jerseys in the rafters one day, they are too young/have not done enough for this discussion.
Shaq - L.A. (100%), Orlando (maybe), Miami (maybe)

K.G. - Minny (100%), Boston (small chance...and before anyone knocks me, KG straight up revitalized basketball in boston a few years ago)

Iverson- Philly (100%)

Kobe- (100%)

Duncan- (100%)

Dirk- (100%)

Nash- Phoenix (100%), Dallas?

Pierce- (99%)

Kidd- Jersey (99%), Phoenix?

LeBron- if he were to have a career ending injury tomorrow, I believe Cleveland will retire #23

D-Wade- I think Miami will retire #3 no matter what happens this summer

Ray Allen- maybe Milwaukee? maybe OKC? or some type of honor in the city of Seattle

Billups- has a chance in Detroit

Carter- maybe Toronto? (he was the most important person that franchise has ever seen)

Parker- it's a possibility. I have a feeling the Spurs will one day hang his number.

T-Mac- Orlando? It's a long shot, especially if Penny's number wasn't hung. but T-mac's raw talent in his prime was just absurd.

I'm interested to hear other opinions. Did I forget anyone?

Michael Finley in Dallas.
Pau Gasol in Memphis.
Ben Wallace, Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton in Detroit.
Yao Ming in Houston.

No to TMac, Carter, Kidd/Phoenix, Nash/Dallas, and Ray Allen is an interesting one actually.

Dont know who else but I'm pretty sure the way GSW recycles players, they wont have a jersey retired for a while...maybe Curry will start it up again.

Nash in Dallas? No way. Finley got a better shot than Steve, but I still think it'll only be Dirk...

If they could hang one up for Kidd on the Nets right now, They would.

End of story there. He will have his jersey retired by the Nets.

I do not see carter having his jersey retired by any team he played for, just my thought.

Nash in phoenix

Shaq in LA, Maybe miami

Pierce in Boston.

Just a few. Others are pretty well known if they occur.

Shaq: LA
Kobe
Duncan
Garnett: MIN
Iverson: PHI
Pierce

Those are the only guys I consider 100% locks.

What about Ginobili? I bet he does.

And it sucks for Ray, but he hasn't been at one place long enough.

Pau in Memphis I totally disagree with. Although there are many people that will agree with you. I've also heard people say Pau in L.A. will be honored. That makes me sick.

Some of these opinions are way off base. Michael Redd? If that ever happens, then Glenn Robinson should get his number retired too, since he did more for that franchise than Redd ever did, which is a ridiculous statement in and of itself.

Why do you not consider Dirk a 100% questionable lock?

So pretty much the criteria is, you do well for 5 years or so for said team and you automatically get your jersey retried, right?

I'll be there for Luol Deng's jersey retirement in a few years.

Dirk is a 100% LOCK for the HOF, but he can't get his jersey retired by the Mavs?????

Pau going 0-16 in the playoffs and having his number retired made me laugh.

But he does deserve it in Memphis.
