I'm right with him. I absolutely loved the 3s when MJ won the dunk contest in them. Coveted them for years. But in person, on foot (my foot), I just don't care. I have the reimagined white cements and have worn them randomly to parties but would off them in a heartbeat. Had the "OG" AMM 3s and it was the same thing. They smelled great. The packaging was phenomenal. They did nothing for me but sat in the closet so after a while I offed em. Liked the way the Nina Chanels looked but couldn't get a pair. Got the - what were those tan ones? Got those and it was the same thing.

I wish I liked em but I finally just gave up. Some things are better on TV than in person

in my entire time being into sneakers, the bulk of the 3s I’ve owned have been OG colorways. 2006-2007 I dabbled in some retro+ colorways like pure moneys, black cats, cool greys, and since them I haven’t had another non-OG 3 since the first AMM 3s and now these. I didn’t even realize that myself until reading this comment lol I think for me, the OG colorways were honestly the best things that happened to that silhouette and everything seems like a watered down version of those. So I’ve never really been THAT into 3s outside of that. That said as I’ve gotten older and looking back with less nostalgia vision, I can appreciate the AMMs for being OG adjacent and having the quality materials that have been missing for most of the releases.

Nice quality... glad to have em in the collection. Passed on the black cements for these and I'm glad I did. Early Christmas present for myself.
