Couldn't I just say if Jay Elec wasn't from New Orleans, he would just be another underground cat from NYC? That regionalism in hip-hop is stupid, NYC started this $!+% in the first place, that's like saying we could tell y'all to stop swagging our genre of music.

But no matter how good an NYC rapper is right now, that's just not the popular sound in Hip-Hop today.  So when we adapt to the times we are posers now?  Like this kid is 20 or 19, he grew up in the internet era, if he was more influenced by UGK or Z-Ro that Big L and AZ who is to say he's wrong for that.  This is why Hip-Hop can't have nice things.
