as top 5 bust ever!! You have to consider the fact that he had a damn reality show on espn!! Lebron didnt even have that!!

If he came out of high school, made the jump and failed as pro, that would have been one thing! But to have your own ESPN show and suck this %$+#!%% bad, thatsa whole other ball game!

Shoulda went to Louisville.

Hmm...early 20's & people are calling him a bust?

He has a LONG way to go. I think people are throwing that word around to soon when it comes to him.

i understand what your saying and you do have a point but DAMN when i watch him play its depressing! He doesnt seem like he does anything good! Not a3pt shooter, mid range, handles are ok! I dont know, to me, he doesnt show promise.

Portland fans round here were saying he would be better then Lebron. Not sure how that's working out.

But hey, he's rich now, and can live out his life just fine. Hope he keeps clean and just lives life. If he does that, he ain't no bust.

You can't knock him for going straight to the L. Obviously from a basketball standpoint, he should have gone to UL. But he had to think about hisfamily and you can't knock him for that. And

to the dudecalling him a bust already. If he just dedicates himself and puts in work on his jumper, he can be a decent PG in the league. Always rooting for my man Bassy

he didnt even have a show on ESPN it was a documentary

and he is not a bust

During this year with the T-Wolves he has improved.

He is only 22 years old. While this is his 4th year in the NBA he still has much room to grow and develop. I would love to have him back on the T-Wolves rosternext year.

aright apologies on using the word "bust" it is a lil early for that considering hes only 22 but will he ever live up to his potential/hype?

Exactly. I not talking about whether or not he could feed his family (no Sprewell).

Top 5 bust ever? No chance! He ain't THAT bad.. And I think he can still be a decent player in the league.. But really though, he's gonna start havingto make something of himself in the league.. Better, younger players coming in every year..

Bassy is still young and has improved a lot. Give him a little more time before you can call him a bust.

no Sprewell

I see his career as being a solid PG with veteran savvy later on down the road. I think he might have one or two big seasons which people will look too muchinto, but other than that I think he will end up as a career 15 pt, 7 ast. type player with leadership when its all said and done.

I wouldn't call him a bust, because I never expected him to do anything.

to these cats defending this garbage dude. i hope''bassy" leaves the league when his cousin does, the NBA will be better without the both of them. their style of play isdead, bring on the the old style in the new players like CP3, usher this dude out.

top 5 bust ever? thats debatable, i dont even remember how high this guy went in the draft, but i wouldnt call him a top 5 bust. however i would call him a top5 most over hyped player to enter the league especially one that possibly cant ever live up his hype, he didnt have has much hype as lebron but he still had alot of hype - we can thank all of new york city for that

even though i think he can become a solid pg like a lindsey hunter, i wish i could see the reactions of people who were claiming for this guy to be the nextbig thing or the next great point guard

@ calling him a bust.....the kid, and I mean KID is only 22 years old. No, he's not on the level of other young stars at the 1 like CP3 or DeronWilliams, but he is well on the right track to becoming a legit PG in the NBA. There was a lot of hype surrounding Telfair, but it was well warranted. You're talking about arguably a top 3-5 player in NYC HS hoops history. With all the talent that has come out of the 5 boroughs, Telfair's name is atthe top of that list. He's in a great situation in Minnesota in that he can actually make mistakes and not have to worry about getting an early hook or aDNP-CD the night after.

I don't know what you all expect from him? IMO, he's playing the hardest position on the floor, and when he came into the league at 18, he was WELLover his head in what he was being asked to do. Telfair went from running a team of 13-18 yo's, to being asked to run a team of GROWN MEN. There are notmany 18-19 yo PG's who can handle that taske effectively. Again, the kid is ONLY 22 years old....he has plenty of good basketball left in him, and I thinkhe will end up being a version of Rod Strickland. Once he gets a more consistent outside shot, you will see his PPG increase by at least 6. He has sickcourt-vision, and other intangibles. Don't write him off just yet....give it time....

I don't think he should be considered a bust just because he had more exposure.

It took Billups a few years before his game started to truly develop and he was a top pick out of college.

Telfair is still young and on a horrible team. If he gets to play on the right team he should be alright.

I think he was selected #13 overall in 2004. He's not a top 5 bust of all time, but he's most definitely a huge bust.

It's one thing for the high school big men to need a couple seasons to learn how to get beaten up on the court by grown men. It's another for a pointguard that is supposed to have some of the best dribble penetration moves ever seen at the high school level.

Telfair's value couldn't be any lower than it is right now. Minnesota may offer him a contract just to keep Al Jefferson happy. All Telfair has to doto get 10 assists per night is to dump it in the post to Al. He'll do the rest.

i think its too early to be calling him a bust, but i dont think he'll even get close to his hype
