Some land I own appreciated that much last year. It only goes
property taxes every year but the increase in value far outweigh it.

Real estate seems super lucrative but time consuming. Is there someone official I can keep on staff just to deal with all of it?
So far all I've done is investing in my sisters house in NC which she plans to sell soon and I get a percentage of the profits. If I bought a rental property it will take so much work and time to manage which I don't have.

I’d never buy a rental. Sounds like a pain in the ***.
If you buy raw land it’s super easy. You can do it all online although I wouldn’t recommend that unless you know the area super well.
