"Luckily, I didn't need it, and Leavy, 52, couldn't have been nicer. Turns out he really is a Marlins fan.
"I'm a season ticket holder," he says. "I was in New York for the Yankees games [for the ALCS] I was all over. I just love baseball. I wear the same thing, everywhere I go."
Leavy got the tickets through StubHub, but then also adds that the Marlins helped him out. He owns a law firm that specializes in worker's compensation cases, and is a Miami resident. He has seats right behind home plate at the new Marlins ballpark, and said he's had season tickets since the organization's inception.
He's here with his friend Lisa DeCosta, a San Francisco local and a huge Giants fan who used to work for Leavy.
And Leavy says, amazingly, no one gives him a hard time about wearing the same Marlins jersey to every game. He says he's been to 26 Super Bowls and 80 World Series games, and he just loves sports."
Can someone send me a newspaper?
