First of all, being gay isn't a "black" thing. It exists in all communities.
Stop seeking special privileges and playing the victim card in this regard.
And there isn't a push to BE gay...its a push for equal rights under the law.
We have presidential candidates that want to push for gays to not be in the military, to not be given tax benefits in marriages, to not adopt kids, to not give blood, to not even hold office.
In some countries you can be JAILED or EXECUTED for being gay.
I don't think civil rights wanted to force everyone to be black or hispanic. Do you?
Some people are born gay, some people chose the lifestyle. Sexuality is fluid. Thats UNDENIABLE. You can't argue that.
So why are we arguing?
You know that there is a natural component to some of this stuff yet you choose to ignore it.
But the recent explosion of homosexuality in the black community is not happenstance, nor did it happen gradually or naturally.
Hiding the fact that someone is gay, like pastor eddie long, doesn't remove that fact.
There have ALWAYS been gay people.
It just used to not be accepted to be out.
The only reason it seems like there are more gay people is because you're not going to be executed for being gay.
Up until the 1950s in England you could be sent to jail for being gay. Look up Alan Turing.
I don't condone discrimination or the denial of rights towards any group and I don't hear or see where Dr. Umar does either.
I didn't say he was trying to limit the rights of gays.
I said he was a homophobe however.
I did not hear ONE instance where he even said that gays deserved equal rights.
Every word regarding homosexuality in his eyes was negative, scornful, and accusatory.
he placed the entire problems of the black community on homosexuality.
The problem is that we don't control the media that is disseminated to our people nor do we project our own public image on a large scale...
and thats gay people's fault?
Control your own damn image then.
I mean REALLY. Lets be honest here.
those that seek to control us and keep us as a-political wage workers, mindless consumers, and incarcerated human commodities do.
exactly my point
here does homosexuality come into this?
Those oppressors have made a concerted effort in that last decade or so, to create an effeminate black male population and widen the chasm between black men and black women....they have been very effective.
Again, where are gays to blame as Umar Johnson suggests?
Now you have thousands of self declared bi-sexual and homosexual children that are as confused about their sexuality as they are as else everything in their poverty ravaged life.
So poverty makes kids gay?
I'm pretty sure it used to not be cool to admit you didnt believe in god either, but now I know I can say that with impunity from the world.
Again. There have ALWAYS been gay people. Being out however is a different story.
Children are becoming more perverse at younger ages, mimicking the behaviors they see on "reality tv" and hear on Nicki Minaj songs.
And that makes them gay?
More sexualized? Yes
But how does that INNATELY make them more gay?
How are homosexuals oppressed when they are the ones in the Congress dictating policy from on high,
There are MAYBE like 4-5 openly gay homosexuals in congress. The rest of the closet cases vote against their interests in the first place so they're not supporting the gay agenda in the first place.
when they are the music execs and movie directors shaping the minds of the global audience,
And this makes people more gay?
Maybe we should go back to when people were scared of others who had HIV as human beings.
Pushing for tolerance doesn't make you gay.
when they are the millionaires/billionaires behind corporate powerhouses and multinational conglomerates?...
Tim Cook, the new CEO of Apple is gay.
I hope you don't think your iPhone will make you start dreaming of erect penis 25/8.
..the true oppressed peoples of the world pray for that type of oppression.
Gay people don't have legal benefits in this country.
If you want to compare the extent of oppression to say...sex slaves in this country? Yeah, one is a more raw deal
But injustice is injustice.
Its no less of an infringement of rights than anything else.
The battle is different but the war is the same.
This ain't about denying homosexuals of their natural human rights or persecuting any group of individuals...
The whole "my best friend is black" argument...
I'm not racist...I swear!
this is about seeing things for what they are.....and black homosexuality is the new blaxploitation.
Again, seeking the victim card.
Homosexuality is in ALL communities. Stop being so narcissistic.
There are actually other people that suffer JUST as much as you do in their own ways before you start trying to make it seem like only black people deal with homosexuality.
