I think IT was ESPN that sent him over their for their coverage since ESPN is the home of WWE. They just saw an opportunity to market the WWE product they have that no one watched.

It was just kind of a perfect weird scenario. Dude paid Danhausen for a Cameo video uncursing the Knicks, Knicks proceeded to go on this generational run, and when the Uncursing started gaining steam, ESPN put the partnership to work. It was just the perfect confluence of scenarios for that machine of TKO/ESPN/Fanatics.
