It's good, but I still feel like MLB needs to do better marketing, especially with all of the crazy young talent right now. The casual fan probably haven't even heard of all these young stars. Definitely moving in the right direction though

Baseball is “up” to those already into baseball. It’s really not making noise to casual fans honestly.

The recent ratings and attendance surge says the opposite though, those extra millions aren't the hardcore fans already following the sport.





Guys like Ohtani and Judge are household names with casuals too at this point.

Simmons was talking on his pod that after Durant got booed opening night in OKC, it might be irreconcilable and he might retire and not have “a team”.

The fact that they still don't rock with him even after almost 10 years and after winning a chip definitely makes you think it might be irreparable but who knows with time and once he's not playing for other teams.

That's still the only spot where he played that I feel would properly honor him unless he does something historic with Houston

Only place KD may ever get eternal love is Seattle, which he ironically only played in for one season.

As for Clemens, I feel like his Yankee seasons stood out most for me but he was kind of everywhere, especially playing for the Astros those late years. Great comparison by the Sports Guy tbh.

I think time will ultimately heal things in okc. once he retires they'll reconcile, he'll get his number retired and all that lovely stuff.

but it blows my mind how some of these players will leave via free agency on bad terms, request/demand a trade or whatever else and act surprised that the fanbase doesn't rock with them afterward. how he left and who he specifically left to go to definitely wasn't under the best of circumstances, a small market like that, i'm sure the fanbase and city felt slighted. should they have let it go by now, I would say so, especially that the thunder won the championship last season. but durant is a weird case , he'll go back and forth with online trolls and say stuff like "about time they won something", and even if he's joking or saying it in jest, I see how some fans would take it otherwise.

at the end of the day though, i'm sure things will get resolved in okc between him and the organizaition/fanbase, and he'll get his flowers from golden state as well.
