So Buster Onley is trying to feud with Jomboy over Onley’s story of Chapman being so dominant this season because he just started to locate his pitches.
The fact that Buster was probably trolled by this response from Chapman and he ran with it and didn’t really question or vet it, and now that he’s up in arms because numerous ppl is hilarious. Guy’s been pitching in the league for 15 years, with all kinds of video evidence of catchers calling pitches/location and setting up for location yet no one ever taught/told him about location. Comical.
Been a bad couple of weeks for baseball beat writers

If you want to go by homeruns, cool I guess. But Judge is nearly 2 WAR better and nearly 100 points better in BA, OBP, SLG. Almost 200 points better OPS than Raleigh and has him beat in OPS+ as well.
Would be the lowest BA to win an MVP outside of pitchers that have won the award.

Ahhh I was going by fWAR, which is a little closer. Just wondering if Dumper will have some narrative advantages but it's been a cool race. NL MVP is more set, of course lol!

Judge's Sabermetric numbers are pretty a head of Cal as well. Judge's BAbip is 130 points higher than Raleigh.

remove 2025 schwarbs from this current fightins squad and let me know if they are 30 games above .500. His Production alone speaks MVP as the definition states the most significant contributor to their team's success during the regular season
i understand what Ohtani is doing but meh his pitching been nothing special. Congrats to his 50ks on the season but 13 GS and 1-1 record with 3.29 dont impress me

From what I understand, fWAR gives too much credit to Raleigh for pitch framing which is why he and Judge are close in fWAR but the gap is much bigger in bWAR.
I love Schwarber but Ohtani clears him at the plate alone, without even including his pitching.
