2026 MLB Season Thread

Top 10 on saved with the fewest innings pitched amongst those in the top ten. Believe top 10 in closer’s WAR as well. Was fairly dominant during his time. All while not being a natural lefty🤷‍♂️

There’s like 5-6 closers still pitching with better numbers than him. I think he was good but not HOF good.

There’s only 2 and 1 was released this year. But that’s how the game evolves. There’s probably only 2 closers whose numbers are never going to be touched. You could say he was part of the beginning of power arm closers. That doesn’t rule out others from being inducted.

Wagner was different. Guy was touching triple digits from the left side as a natural righty.

MLB Network had like five names up there with better stats. I’m sure not every category but it was a lot of categories.

Him going from right to left at age 7 doesn’t impress me. If he did it at 17 or something, then yeah but he’s still a small *** child at 7. I don’t mean that as a knock but it’s brought up way too much.

I love seeing the vintage jerseys at these events.

Ichiro crushing bombs with ease still blows my mind.

I don’t think I knew Koufax was still alive. I think of Entourage, whenever I hear his name.

Baines, Rolen and Edgar being in the Hall, bull sh

Super casual baseball watcher.

I really don’t understand the timing coaches take when they finally decide to pull a pitcher

It’s the bottom of the 5th. 80 pitches in. Score is 0-0.

You walk a hitter, throw a wild pitch and runner goes to 2nd, walk another one, hit a pitcher, throw another wild pitch and runner scores, let up a two run homer. And he’s still in the game.

Remember when MLB tried to make the "AL HR record" a thing to give Judge that MVP? Raleigh just tied the switch hitter HR record 🤔🤔

Could be mad different reasons. Might not have a lot of pitching options, bullpen could be cooked and need a break. He could have ****** up and now they’re down so much that he has to just finish instead of wasting a bullpen arm they’re most likely gonna lose.

Congrats to my guys CC and Ichiro.

Once a Yankees, always a Yankees.

With Juan or more exceptions ofc.
