I think the only way it gets awkward is if Campbell and/or Grissom play themselves into consideration. Then it becomes a logjam and egos could get bruised.

I think that was the plan for every team Bregman visited with, although he'd be a huge upgrade over Baez in Detriot. Like I said, Houston has already moved Altuve to LF (which should be quite interesting considering his defense has dipped).

It’s about time we finally started using tech to call balls and strikes. Will take some of the ego out the game from pitchers, batters and umps alike who all think they see the strike zone better than everyone else. Football needs to do the same so these old refs can stop spotting the ball at the wrong location.

I hate how hardly any of 90’s mlb royalty don’t do the analyst/media thing. I would love to hear from Griffey, Mattox, Chipper, Big Hurt, Bonds, Bagwell, Jeter, Papi etc. I look at the nba and nfl and most of the guys who retire still wanna talk about the sport every chance they get. But with baseball it’s like they retire and disappear until it’s time for them to be acknowledged again.
