40 mil/yr (granted it’s essentially a one year deal) feels a lot for a guy who starts off slow and can be extremely streaky. His glove is fantastic though.

Maybe 2nd, but I think he’s still going to get playing time at third. I read earlier this offseason Devers liked the idea of DHing more, especially if they brought in a guy like Bregman. Maybe Sox fans can speak more on it but that’s what I read.

I think Devers would prefer 3rd like he's said in the past, but would do whatever is best for the team. I think a lot depends on how the prospects pan out too.
