Giolito is a semi decent pickup. He isn’t what he was a couple years ago. He can get blown up early and can be on that Snell pitch count pace at times. Lopez can throw 100+ but it’s gonna be all over the place.

So Happ hits Contreras with a backswing accidentally, is contrite and apologetic, and embraces with Wilson before he leaves. Then Mikolas buzzes Happ up and in “to send a message” because Happ accidentally hit Wilson and then drills him right with the next pitch.

Why was it necessary to drill him in the first place when it was clearly an accident and he apologized and embraced him? They’re former teammates after all.

Then the broadcast booth is in an uproar over the ejection over an unnecessary drilling? Kind of embarrassing Cardinals.

Cubs don't suck. We aren't great by any means but we're decent . About to win our sixth in a row. A week or two ago I was all in to trade at least Bellinger and Stroman. However....Stroman hasn't been very good in his last 6 starts so not sure what the market for him is now. Bellinger is the best hitter available. Do the Cubs give up on the season, and trade Bellinger, when they've gotten to .500 for the first time in months???? Or do you keep Bellinger, risk losing him for nothing after the season, and add on to maybe make the playoffs and try for it this season??

The NL Central is gross. Everybody has a negative run differential except the Cubs, who are in 9th place overall in the league. The Cubs have the 4th highest run differential in the NL
