2026 MLB Season Thread

German isn’t even in the rotation. He’s depth. Sevty looked back to himself and we get him hopefully for a full year.

And going into the season pessimistic on a pitcher who has been top 5 WAR the last two seasons in Rodon.. 😂😂

What was he the seasons before the previous two? Has he played in NY before? Pinstripes are heavy, this isn’t San Fran where only a few cities watch you play.

Rodon pitched pretty well against the yanks when played in New York during his career. Was like 3-1 and hadn’t given up more than 2 runs in each of those games. Maybe actually give him a chance? lol

He’s always like this lol

I’m well aware. It’s exhausting lol.

The feeling is mutual, can’t stand you sorry *** glass is full fans every year. That’s not how it is in NY, sorry.

I don’t know how an injury prone rotation and Frankie Montas is the best rotation in baseball. Rodon might be phenomenal but he could also be garbage, I’m prepared for either option.

As a giants fan I had hella fun watching Rodon.
Injury concerns for sure but I would’ve loved him back. Giants haven’t really had a pitcher who can make people swing and miss like he did

He WANTED the pressure of NY - sure I’m cautious of his injury history but the dude has been lights out the last two seasons. Not much more you can ask for with him.

If you want to talk about the lineup - I agree that Cash hasn’t done all he can and I’m nervous about it.

IMO, if the Yankees don't run him to the ground at the beginning of the season he'll continue his success.

The plan is to have spurts with 6 starters - I know it was his first season going 170+ innings but luckily Yanks have the SP depth to make this a concerted effort.
