Got more solid/good arms than they’ve had maybe ever.

Probably frees up leverage to trade a farm arm for a corner OF bat.

I'm always skeptical when Texas throws money at a problem. DeGrom is DeGrom. Best in the game and you worry about injury risk...but someone like Heaney; he's been an ultimate potential guy his whole career who also has a history of injury. It's not unheard of that pitchers become reliable and consistent late in their careers, but that's not a science after only 1 good season. I've always liked Perez, but he's notorious for starting off great and tailing way off after the All-Star break. He showed that again last season, though he sprinkled in enough good starts the ending months to finish with his best ever season...Eovaldi is hit or miss every appearance. Just seems like they're trying to jam a square peg into a circle hoping it somehow all fits together...then again, if only 2 of them hit, they're still better, but we'll see. History suggests it rarely meshes for them though.

They’re locked in long-term on one guy.

It’s not really throwing money at a problem when they’re all shorter term deals and their farm is loaded with arms.

Yeah with Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker. Rocker though coming out of high school already had injury problems and re entered the draft after the Mets drafted him a year earlier and refused to sign him after medical concerns.

Texas though did make the right move by getting Bruce Bochy to come out of retirement. Their GM Chris Young pitched for the Padres and Bochy in the early 2000's.

Kluber been on like 6 teams the last 6 yrs

Definitely don't buy his jersey...

Eovaldi been solid since leaving the Yankees. Would love to know why the Yankees didn’t go after him. I don’t trust our rotation at all.

It’s probably the best in baseball

People keep saying that, I don’t see it. I don’t trust our rotation at all.

Cole is great
Rodon is injury prone and we don’t know how well he’s gonna do in NY.
Nestor is great but do we really expect him to have another damn near Cy Young season?
Sevy is injury prone

Montas and German……
