2026 MLB Season Thread

Hal had to personally contact Judge in the final hour to finish the deal and offer him the same deal San Fran had in place. Are we forgetting that?

I get you don’t like Correa and want him no where on the yanks. But to be 100% dismissive at all times is a bit overboard.

She's was the ex-BBWAA president.

That's the committee who votes players into the baseball HOF.
Cool? Not sure how that's relevant here. She gets fed info from agents like every other writer out there. Taking it as truth is silly. The Giants legally can't come out and say "We found this on his physical" so Boras can say anything he wants and he knows he won't get checked on it. His job is to spin things as well as he can for his client so taking his word as truth is just wild.

Giants ownership full of ****. Right wing, trump donating losers.

I hate that they got my guy Farhan looking stupid out here

 they’re gonna duck all other questions until spring training

Shouldn't even considered signing him if management had some reservations about his health. Terrible.

Franchise is a joke. Buster Posey should've never bought into this ownership group.

He's going to be the fall man. While Baer and the rest of the front office/ownership will stay behind the scenes.

We know adding Posey to the ownership group was a PR move.

Terrible.

Stealing from another board.

The Giants can't just back off a deal after it was agreed to. That's suicide with not only Boras, but with any agent they ever negotiate a deal with. And whatever the physical thing was, what doctor is putting himself out there if the Giants were like "hey, find something so we can back out"? That's an ethical situation that, again, backfires on the Giants long term more than that contract would.

And the Giants could have found 8 legitimate things that mean Correa is likely to die in the next 2 years, and Boras would deny all of them and say it was something minor that dates back 20 years and has never been an issue because a) the Giants aren't going to come out and refute it on the record because they can't; and b) he's got to make people think the Mets giving his guy this deal was good.
