2026 MLB Season Thread

The players have to play or they won't get paid jack.. 60 games is alright considering the 2020 year we are having. I'll take it. Start the season ASAP.

Friend that works for a Texas team said they had an impromptu staff meeting saying they had to be available to work July 25th for opening day. Means it’s probably going to be a 55ish game season I would guess.

Not going to lie, was starting to doubt my source for awhile haha just happy to have baseball back!

Team coming a long nice

let me get a utley or howard doe

Dumb. Makes sense for the expanded playoffs, at least...that's disappointing.

I'm interested in strategies still though...

I‘m personally glad there’s no expanded playoffs, half the league making it would be pretty brutal.

I will say, it would‘ve been cool to try something random for one year though and do a round robin tournament or something crazy like that

I wasnt thinking half the league...agree with round Robin or something. It's just the idea that the season is just about 1/3 of a normal season. It's lacking...

Ultimately, the WS winner will get the invisible asterisk either way, but an expanded playoffs restores some of that competitive balance in lieu of a full season, in my opinion.

I'll be watching though...
