2026 MLB Season Thread

It's amazing how badly this Mets team has shaped up since the WS appearance.

Blame Sandy Alderson. He hasn't built a winner since 1989. He has a poor eye for talent and cant develop. His first option was Carlos Gomez and he didn't become a Met because he failed his physical.

The only reason he didn't get fired formally is because he took a medical leave. If they were winning, he would still be with the team. He's a **** GM that ruined what window to compete the Mets had.

Ricco, his disciple, traded the best available closer on the market for a can of magic beans. Those are two guys who will never stick on a major league roster.

Played against Bobby Wahl (P in Familia deal) in HS. He lights up the radar gun.

Only fitting it should come down to the bottom of the 9th and we walk off.
man... your catchers are screwing you guys of wins. dumb backhand pick attempt by phegley and that should've been a ground rule double on #chairgate.

it'd be justice if phegley somehow got the walk off rbi

Man, tell me about it. Can't have 2 bonehead plays by our catchers costing us games.

Josh Hader getting a standing ovation today is ****ing gross
sounds about white...

can't wait till he gets on the road, opposing fans should boo his *** relentlessly.

no idea how he became a victim in all of this

I mean Gurriel got a standing ovation

:nerd:

I know what you mean though  Home fans are gonna ride for their player regardless
:lol true. i thought it was dumb as well but also a different situation/context. some of those brewers fans were way too passionate in that standing ovation.

yuli got a 5 game suspension and hader got sensitivity training :smh:

In regards to the different punishments,I think the difference was that Gurriel did it recently, while Hader had racist and offensive tweets from the past that were uncovered.
I think if Hader was recently tweeting inflammatory remarks, he probably would have got hit with a similar suspension that Gurriel got.

The standing ovations for both players are frankly disgusting though.

Different sport, but I read that Ray Rice got a standing O from the fans when he came back to the Ravens after his mess...
