The passed ball was on Sanchez for not hustling, Andujar for not making an effort, and Severino for covering the plate late.

Sanchez should absolutely be benched for the 9th inning, though. If it was the 1st inning it's still not a great look but whatever. But with the 9th inning & the game on the line you gotta be busting it down the line.

Iono, I don't expect a catcher to bust his *** down the line when he grounds directly to 2nd and there's a runner running to that very bag. 99 out of 100 that's an easy out. I'm not blaming the catcher who takes more abuse than any player in the sport for not knowing the future that this would be the one time.

That's just me tho. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't buy all the talking heads and the "back in my day everybody hustled" bull ****.

Not knowing what'll happen is exactly why he should be hustling IMO. What if the SS saw it'd be a close play & threw the ball away? Then two runs score on the play & we're up 8-7.

9th inning, bases loaded, 2 outs, down by 1 run, IMO you gotta haul *** down the line there no matter what. I know he’s not a fast guy but it looks real bad that they went to 2nd, didn’t get the out, and still had plenty of time to get Sanchez at 1st to end the game, and then you see the replay and he’s loafing 75% of the way to first base. I’ll give him a break if he’s still hurt and playing through it, but in that case he can’t be in the game if he can’t run 90 feet.

I kind of give Trea a pass ... The pitch took him out of the back of the batter's box and the pitcher fielded the bunt ... Even if he does take off, he probably is stopped by the pitcher after 3 steps ...

I dont know why, but that play didn't bother me at all ...

Why does he need to be benched for a mistake? He thought dude was gonna be out at 2nd, it happens.

Dude is a catcher, not exactly known for their wheels, and the passed ball, why is that on Sanchez, and not on the 3rd baseman who was closer to the ball than Sanchez was?

Should he "hustle" more? Sure, whatevs, but bench him for it, naw. This isn't little league.
