Except... his current team.Man I think EVERYONE is all in on Ohtani![]()
Except... his current team.![]()
This man really said “I’d like to say we have as good a chance as anybody” for Ohtani. You’re the owner and a billionaire, speak with some damn balls to ease all the fans of your team that want you gone. Tell them the Angels have “the best chance” to sign him because he’s been there and you will make it hard af for him to leave. But nope instead you’re signing vets to short term deals to pretend you’re trying.Moreno should've locked him up with a record breaking deal by now.
Right? Come out and offer him a max deal right now to show how serious you are. Gives the rest of the league notice that you're actually trying. This man really said “I’d like to say we have as good a chance as anybody” for Ohtani. Angels owner Arte Moreno: I'd like to keep Shohei Ohtani
Angels owner Arte Moreno, speaking from the MLB owners meetings Wednesday, told the New York Post that he'd "like to keep" Shohei Ohtani as the two-way star heads into his final season under contract.www.espn.com
this man is obviously in it to win it and I'm sure will break the bank to keep him
Definitely not obvious. That's what I'm getting at. Should be obvious but it isn't. Everyone else should feel like they have to FIGHT, and it seems like they all think they have to simply just show up & wait in line, no big deal.

Rendon, Torii, Matthews Jr... but none top Hamilton & Pujols back-to-back.One of the Angels biggest mistakes was signing Anthony Rendon.
That is a bad contract.

Sounds like Arson Judge never really considered any team outside of the Yankees.
Is there a new article that came out with details about this.
“Once things got started, all the feelings I promised to put aside came right back,” Judge told Bob Klapisch of NJ.com. “I knew in my heart that I wanted to re-sign with the Yankees, but I decided to listen to the other teams. At least go through with the process.”
“That was enough for me,” Judge said of the $360 million. “If all I was doing was chasing money, I could’ve gone to another team who had a higher offer,” he said, alluding to the Padres, who were rumored to have floated a $400 million deal to Judge. "But New York is where I wanted to finish my career.”
