Angels owner Arte Moreno, speaking from the MLB owners meetings Wednesday, told the New York Post that he'd "like to keep" Shohei Ohtani as the two-way star heads into his final season under contract.

This man really said “I’d like to say we have as good a chance as anybody” for Ohtani. You’re the owner and a billionaire, speak with some damn balls to ease all the fans of your team that want you gone. Tell them the Angels have “the best chance” to sign him because he’s been there and you will make it hard af for him to leave. But nope instead you’re signing vets to short term deals to pretend you’re trying.

That's what I'm getting at. Should be obvious but it isn't. Everyone else should feel like they have to FIGHT, and it seems like they all think they have to simply just show up & wait in line, no big deal.

Moreno is a damn pos owner he should be doing EVERYTHING in his power to keep Ohtani. Wasting Ohtani and Trout bc he’s a crap owner.

Yeah, Rendon raked with the Nats and 3B was in more demand, especially since Nolan/Manny weren't available that offseason I believe. Also remember that signing being the Angels rebound move after losing out on Gerrit Cole.
