Context of this match

This match was the 1994 Super J Cup Semi Final bout between Jushin Liger and Great Sasuke. Liger was the favourite to win it all and had been NJPW's Jr Heavyweight darling for a couple of years at this point. Great Sasuke was a big name for Michinoku Pro, but compared to Liger he was still a small fry.

Liger dominated 90% of this match and Sasuke took a huge beating. This botch, although not on purpose, added to the psychology of the match that his body was too messed up from even performing moves properly. The quick impromptu reaction by Liger where he mocked Sasuke for the botch quickly resulted in his loss soon afterwards.

Reasons why it's a good idea for Kunter to go in this year:

1. Better to get it out the way before any scandals ever come out.
2. He's already had health complications and we know he should never be in the ring again.
3. It'll never be the "right-time" to put yourself over, so better to just get it over with.
4. The Rock says he better know his role and do what his (Final) boss tells him to do.
