2024 Track and Field Thread — OLYMPICS!!! - Noah Lyles !!! Fastest Man in the world , but not in the 200!!! LOL

serena williams husband doing a all woman track and fired comp in september ,,,, supposedly … would like more opportunities for the runners

Xennial Xennial you seeing anything about the about of injuries the US men had in the 4 x 4?

They saying that’s why young boy had to run the prelims.. he’s injured too supposedly and that was why he wasn’t in the mixed 4 x 4.. but they had zero choice with rai having his 400 hurdles final and then Norman hurt too.. so they took the risk running young boy first with his injury (supposedly his hamstring)

Yeah I was reading that both Hall and Norman weren't available due to injuries. This does make me think about how both Kerley and Holloway have been frustrated on not being offered relay legs for 4x400 and wondering why neither were offered in this situation

Crazy as it sounds, every time I watch bolt I think we’ve never really seen him at his fastest possible

Like look at him and then the other guys in this race and notice how much smoother they look.. dude never fully looks relaxed and cutting the unnecessary movements, like look at his shoulders during the race

Or even during like the 4 x 1 when he’s walking dudes, but he always always switches hands with the stick

The 2 things I always wonder about in Olympic sports is how fast could bolt have gone if he cleaned up some of these things.. and how fast Phelps woild have gone in the 200 IM without the heavy schedule

I always wondered if he would've been able to complete the 3peat in Rio if Yohan Blake never had his injury in 2014 that pretty much never allowed him to regain his form

Had to check the times but I’m with you, I doubt it.. bolt was the only 1 under 20 in the final and he went 19.78

Probably still wins the 100 with that 9.81

The US really ain’t good at this

With how Houston always overperforms on relays they legit need to just let Carl Lewis run that show
