That flaking and peeling of the orange didn't look too buttery to me.even the photos shows that the leather is on the PLASTICKY side, its not even the retro OG buttery leather - kind of sad, how can vans sell 25$ sale shoes and use a buttery suede and leather and Nike Can't :

The leather looks like if you folded the top flap over the paint would break.
OG Supa's quality was very nice, I had probably 4 total pair in my life time
the paint chipping is the problem now but there is no way in hell that these $110 Highs hold a candle to the $65 OG's
my Gino 1's I still have look like they were made a few years ago
Yeah most of the low/high retros just don't feel right as a high. If they would've given us a trd sea crystal retro with suede quality similar to the silver box highs from last year, I would've been pretty damn hype for them. And regarding the supa highs releasing this early, I believe someone mentioned back a few pages that we may be seeing one more trd release this year. Either that or they saved December for that the medicom elite low releaseYeah Nike SB really kicked us while we are down on these IW sea crystals. We have gotten so many hit and miss low to highs but a TRD Sea Crystal would have been a great, instead they release it as an IW??
Also I'm surprised Supa highs are releasing so soon, I thought it was December?
THIS is the pair I got from Shoezeum. Glad to have some backstory to them now.
Yeah my Kentuckys from 99 or whatever it is are cooked. All the leather is flakingI'm convinced that 99% of the people praising the quality of the OG Supas have never owned a pair.
They're one of my favorite dunks ever, but to say that they have buttery leather is a severe overstatement.
Most of the dunks from that era with color treated leather have severe issues with peeling and flaking.
If you own any of the original BTTYS retros you'll see similar degradation to the colored portions of the leather.
These weren't produced for longevity back in the day.
Ur not u r right..if these were lows I'd be going nuts..but I can't mess with these as highsI am beating a dead horse but I really wish we could just get true retros
they look decent overall but I should be hype as hell for my single favorite shoe of all time coming back
anybody wore their momofukus yet? How is the fit? surprised they didn't have a wider release yet.
