im 33... read the book in elementary school before watching the movie. didnt scare me since "poltergeist" already had its place in my mind. catholic upbringing led me to believe in ghosts rather than clowns.I think those of us that are in our late 20s-early/mid 30s that saw that movie as kids probably HATE clowns now because of it.

See I'm 34 and basically same story read the book and many other King novels by the 5th/6th grade.
