I know it's absurd but they have nice metal tips and are very durable. If you want gold laces, they're one of the only places you can find SB-like TRUE GOLD laces.

Good question. Both shoes grew tremendously on me. Didn't think I could ever like the warmth high's, but I do now. To answer the question, I have them at a tie.
