Doesn't bother me at all. Usually just say thanks and do a quick kick check to see if I can give em a "you too!" and keep it moving.

I saw a guy at the grocery store today wearing the Supreme dunk lows from last year.
I said “nice shoes!” and he looked at me like I had offered to blow him.
Didn’t help that I was wearing my super beat up, filthy ASICS dad shoes.

Kinda depends on what I’m wearing, and who, and why they’re complementing…. End of the day, it’s not that serious, and appreciate the kind gesture that someone is showing love.

I was wearing Piet Mondrian SBs the other day coming out the gas station and someone complimented them. Doesn’t bother me at all. I’m more entertained when people I’d perceive to not be into shoes complimenting my shoe choice of the day.

I'll say I'm not wearing nice shoes for the attention, maybe not consciously. But I wore these today to work(delivery driver) and received a lot of attention.
Good and bad attention though, from my perspective. Just shouldn't take it so personal from those who doesn't seem to understand it lol. Which is why working in a sneaker store is a bit of a comfort zone because you're around a ton of like minded individuals.

Nah its cool, Especially when you got on something that people rarely see someone in.
But at the same time its like getting a compliment on a haircut for me. its every blue moon... People out here be decked out in panda dunks and Jordans with backward swooshes.

2019 viotechs were trash but they scratched the itch at the time til I found OGs. Would love some new viotechs with 2020/2024 ugly duckling type of materials because my OGs are on thin ice
