In NYC, to say something is a dub means it's a wash, it's shot, it's wack, it's over. "That party was a dub", "shorty a dub", "it's raining, the beach is a dub"

Lol, todays slang is so crazy. I thought a dub was a win as well. It also always blows my mind when I hear young people talking about having “the drip”. When I was growing up, the drip WAS NOT something you celebrated!
