2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

Losing Soto hurts :ohwell: but Jesus Christo at that contract. :wow:

At least he'll still be a Yankee in the Show 24.

Idk man. That’s a lot of money for one player
I can understand Ohtani. Generational two way player. It’s a lot of money for a guy who’s defense is going to push him to a DH quicker than expected.
You match Soto because WE (THE FANS) PAY YOU!!!

Mannnn **** the Steinbrenners!

This is a total EMBARRASSMENT!

I’m ASHAMED
being over dramatic.

Don't know how you explain this to your fanbases if you're the Yankees and Dodgers. Money shouldn't be any issue

Word. At least it shouldn’t be a repeat of Pujols when he got paid

I’M LEGITIMATELY ASHAMED

Passan was breaking it down on ESPN with SVP. Said it’s a lot of money for a guy who’s going to more than likely be a DH for more than half that contract.

Was one of the first things Passan said when being interviewed about it tonight. Said, “that’s for Cohen to figure out and handle.”
All depends on health. If he breaks down at 36, yea they'll have to figure something out for the last 5 years. Or just release him and still pay him like Arod.

Crash out time

He’s acting like BX is better and he’s acting like that whole area isn’t about to be turned into retail, condos and a new massive soccer stadium 🤣🤣🤣 Not to mention Cohen is trying to build a casino in there too.
