2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

^ does he still get a ring? I thought guys not on the roster don't get a ring similar to frank thomas
I don't think anyone left off the roster is "officially" a champion in the books, but I'm sure he'll be given/offered a ring. Especially given the years put in.

die hard dodgers fan and absolute huge kershaw fan and was still batting for him even when he was getting spanked. But we are lucky he still injured :lol dude would of won the stankees a game by now :lol

What’s really messed up is that the Yanks have been losing close games. They’ve been pitching LA pretty well, definitely better than the Mets. But that pitching is being wasted with poor offense.

Clean sweep tonight.

Yankees fans really were in here talking froggy. Won the JV division and got a rude awakening.

Soto out, Judge cooked, Steinbrenner Jr.'s broke, gonna be a long-time before they get back here.

Stanton runs like an 80 lb 3 year old.

When I saw the play live I thought he was going to out by a mile. But the perfect throw got him out just in time. If that throw wasn’t as perfect he woulda been safe

Yep. That's why I dont understand how people are saying it was a terrible send. It was a super close play and the Yankees havent been able to string hits together all series to save their lives.

Kersh is 100% getting a ring. While left off the roster due to injury he has been at every game since the playoffs started. Plus with his history, no way we don't give him a ring.

Hernandez had the ball before Stanton even touched 3rd. Bad send IMO.

And it was a bang bang play. The Yankees werent hitting. It was absolutely worth the chance that the throw was offline a little bit or Smith mishandles the ball.

Yeah I understand both arguments. I'm just saying if I'm the coach in that situation I'm probably holding his big a** there. Not an easy call given all the factors.

Fair enough. Everyone has their own opinion, and mine is that it wasnt a difficult decision at all. Full send 100 times out of 100, given the situation IMO.
