2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

phillies need starting pitching

make some type of damn move only 3-5 games out with 60 left

Supposedly the Mets are in on Javy Baez and/or Kris Bryant. Be interesting to see how that plays out. I would of thought maybe a SP for them too?

How many years is Berrios under contract?

Blue Jays still gonna miss the playoffs.

why am I not hearing the Dodgers and Padres get as much **** as the Yanks got forever for spending money ?

remember when the Yanks were ruining the game |l
Maybe because the Yankees actually won with the money they spent?

But so did the Red Sox, Dodgers, Astros.

The Yankees most recent winning (late 90's) actually was a result of them drafting young talent and grooming them into stars.

There should be a cap though IMO even though it would affect most of our teams.

I know those teams did the same. I'm just messing around because I'm a Giants fan lol.

Yankees got too much crap about spending to win, look at those late 90 payrolls. They didn't really go hard with spending until mid 2000's, when they averaged about $40-50M more than the next team. Also, why would you not want your team to spend money? These MF rakin in money left and right, charging YOU a grip at the ballpark for food/drinks and network channels, while also shafting Minor Leaguers.
