If anything, put Luka at 3, idc. I'm not putting him below the bigs though
Until Luka make it out the 1st round he below the bigs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯If anything, put Luka at 3, idc. I'm not putting him below the bigs though
Durant and LBJ is still above Giannis for me. Giannis is mixed in with the Embiid, Jokic, Curry group for me. I want to include Kawhi in the mix too, but I don't know his status or condition at all so I'm taking him out of any lists.Giannis by his damb self
Durant and Luka
Jokic and Embiid
Curry is the interesting one. idk how to frame him at this stage of his career but he still somewhere up there
So if he were to beat this ****** *** Jazz team you'd give him more credit?Until Luka make it out the 1st round he below the bigs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
didn't read argument but clint, bev, and gordon dont make the warriors roster and lou does? how so

IS LUKA BETTER THAN JAYSON TATUM???
Who said anything about rules? It's most valuable player not most burdened/impressive player. Most valuable meaning most valuable to their teams success since this is still a team sport after all. How valuable can you be when your team isn't a real contender. The award is more of a team award than most realize. Aside from the best of the best most guys needed just the right situations to win it. There are two guys who fit the criteria way more than jokic does this season.that actually isn't a rule that is written down anywhere.
unwritten rules are not actually rules a no one has to follow them.
the thing that we know for sure is that it's a regular season award.
so it's totally reasonable to ignore analysis that takes potential playoff performance into account.
because it's a regular season award.
If you read what I wrote, it's less about the playoff performance and more about how his style of play impacted his teammates.
if the argument is "my teammates are terrible so i deserve the MVP"
but your style of play is contributing to them being terrible,
the MVP argument falls apart.
that's not the dynamic with jokic.
YesSo if he were to beat this ****ty *** Jazz team you'd give him more credit?
What we doing here breh
Holding it against him that he played LAC twice as a 20 and 21 year old.. which last year he pushed LAC to 7 games and scored 46 points in game 7...
ok y'all keep holding on to the first round thing tight lol
Luka doesn't have a Jaylen Brown next to him.Luka is above Tatum for me. He's more consistently putting up better numbers year to year.
On the real Tobi been very solid on defense.Tobias is an elite defender
Tatum has entered the territorythrows grenade

So we shouldn't talk about racism because
some exceptional people have overcome racial stereotypes?
True, but he's still performing better in my eyes. I still see Luka putting up high numbers if he had a partner in crime close to his talent/skill-level.Luka doesn't have a Jaylen Brown next to him.
How valuable can you be when your team isn't a real contender.
It's not reasonable to ignore any relevant info but than again we can see from regular season alone that jokic can't dominate the defensive side the way the two better candidates can. As we're seeing now it's questionable whether we can even call him solid on that side.
His defense is solid...in the regular season."My teammates are terrible so I deserve MVP" is the only case for jokic right now. You hit the nail on the head regarding his defense so I'm confused how u can overlook that and still think that's his award. Yea I'm not calling him an all out stat padder like Russ was but that's still not nearly enough to warrant consideration over embiid/giannis for the trophy.
