I often break it up.
Some possessions, I will just watch ONE player. (OFF & DEF)
Minor stretches, I will watch the bench. (If the game isn't as entertaining and is in the 4th)
Some group of possessions, I will watch one TEAM (Meaning when they don't have the ball, I just focus on THEM).
JUST watching the ball/game overall can get old when you have been watching for 30 years.
