Culley accepted their poisoned chalice and they burn him in the end, scumbag franchise.

It's sad as hell how some coaches get thrown under the bus as soon as possible after joining terrible situations while not even being able to afford being selective about jobs they accept because they hardly ever get those opportunities coming around in the first place.

It's a nasty cycle that doesn't seem like it'll change anytime soon :{

Hard to expect much out of a franchise who has this in charge

Got as many black HC's in the league rn that there were in 1989 when Art Shell broke the color barrier...

So Culley took on that ****show of a job with the Texans, did alright all things considered even won a couple of games he wasn't supposed to and they reward him by firing him. :smh:

Now he wasn't a "sexy" hire but what they expect that man to do when the franchise QB didn't play a single snap because he was a deviant?

He deserved at least another year considering what he had to deal with.

Eh that was already a mess in Houston anyway...it was a questionable hire at the time and I think even Culley knew what the situation was gonna be. Just a placeholder until they found who Caserio/Easterby really wanted

Unless a coach is having off the field issues or completely lost the locker room (word to Urban) they should damn near always get more than one year

Not exactly a good sign for CEH especially, but both:

I think the behind the scenes damage is too far to repair re: Watson staying in Houston, even if Flores was brought in.
