when he was on bill simmons podcast the other day, he said he wanted no part of being the commissioner. He also said that he is also on the players side of most things, so for him to go to the owners side would be weird.

following up with this as well, he also said that the reason he really isn’t interested in announcing is because he wants to spend time with his family. The main reason he agreed to do the MNF thing with Eli was because they both could do it at home. They have a lot of commitments on the weekends.
I agree though. The actual ESPN commentators are not great at all.

I believe it. I think he turned down $10M to do it.
I just love him so damn much dammit. Never ever ever did I think he had that funny side to him until a few years after retirement. Might have been when I saw him on SNL and realized damn, this goofy as dude is hilarious. And then the commercials (might have been NFL Sunday ticket).
