2019 NFL Draft Thread

The same Giants fan friend of mine who said Jones > Haskins last night.... some of his receipts from just a few weeks ago. Word for word:

"This ain't the draft for qbs get one next year"
"Go all defense this year and get a solid RT"
"I guarantee he doesn't take one (a QB)"
"Bro 2020 is the ******* craziest year for qbs. There's like 5 of them next year that would get taken over everyone this year lol"
"I want Josh Allen or Williams to slip to us God willing"

Allen slipped to them. They went against his guarantee of no QB and went Jones, a QB that would have apparently gotten picked behind 5 QB's in the 2020 class.

I am having fun with this today

I'm thinking about this Daniel Jones thing... are there any past prospects who were pretty much universally disliked that turned out good?
McNabb? Eagles fans went off on him when he was picked. Felt similar. Except most non_eagles fans thought McNabb was good, unlike Jones

STUD man.

Messed the Rams draft board and caused them to trade out, which i loved

I think people are going to be disappointed by the 2020 QB class by this time next year, its better than 2019 but I don't rate Tua any better than Haskins, there's no one close to being a sure thing.

That gets blown out of proportion, there were fans and the mayor who wanted Ricky Williams badly.. but mcnabb was still though of to be a top of the 1st round guy

I think the fact that Jones more than likely could have been had at 17 is the telling point to the pick. It doesn't help the fact that he's, from what I know of him, not very good anyhow.

Jones would have been there at 17, he also would have been there in the 2nd round and probably even the 3rd round.

I would rather have Josh Allen at 6 and bring back Davis Webb to start or start Kyle Laueletta.

Daniel Jones at 6 is one of the worst picks I have ever seen and I've been watching the Draft since 95.

AND THIS STUPID **** GETTLEMAN KEPT SAYING WE WILL NOT REACH, IT WILL COME TO US. YOU MADE THE BIGGEST REACH OUT OF ANY TEAM AND THAT BUM *** PICK WOULD HAVE CAME TO YOU IN THE 3RD.

Can someone send the most recent QB board heading into last night? Was Jones really that low with a R2-3 grade?

He's the lowest graded QB to ever go top 15. Most people had him ranked between 5-7 out of all QBs.

He belongs in that Jake Locker, Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert and EJ Manuel group. Except we picked our bum *** QB much earlier.

Like josh Allen last year, I didnt see what the hype was all about, but at this point you have to wait and see with him. Jones cant be much worse than Allen and Rosen were last year so we will see.

There were an awful lot of places that thought Jones was a R2 guy.

Frankly, I probably would've have been in the QB market in this class past Kyler. You've gotta love a guy to take him at 6. Would've been better off trading your 2 for Rosen.

Hate the Skins but Haskins is gonna be great. And he will adjust to the NFL quickly. Skins win that division this year.

Don't watch too much PAC-12 football but pleasantly surprised to see Hoody get a WR in the first round.

He hasn't had the most success drafting them in the past but the consensus seems to be that he's one of the best all around prospects at WR this year so I'm hoping he can slot in nicely soon.

Hoody taking offensive guys the last 2 first rounds has been cool to see, thankfully been trying to get the most of TB's final years

If Grier wants to go this route, Dolphins will get him for a third. Once the Skins drafted Haskins, Arizona lost all leverage. Keim saying that they'll keep him as a backup is hilarious, everyone knows Rosen will set the team facilities on fire before he sits behind Kyler Murray.

That's why I had been saying for months, Rosen is getting a 4th, maybe a 3rd round.

Not many teams need a QB and the few that did, could draft one. Thinking of getting a 1 or 2 was ****in crazy.

You can't sell us on a QB that you just drafted and are now getting rid of. If he was so amazing, he would stay but he's not.

The great part of this Murray situation is they have done absolutely nothing to address their offensive line which was part of the reason why Rosen was so bad last year

Plenty of receivers left on the board too.

They don’t have a 2nd round pick but they do have two thirds. Maybe they can trade back into the 2nd. I doubt AJ Brown or DK Metcalf are going to last long today but maybe someone like Parris Campbell or Hakeem Butler can fall into their laps.

They’ve finessed it thus far, gut feeling that they continue to do so throughout the draft.

I’m sick...

It would be hard to convince a guy like Rosen, who started his rookie season to go be a backup for a couple of years.. I think he wants to play now.

Steelers trade would seem unlikely, they’ve already got Dobbs and Rudolph on the roster, both who are under 25, being neglected by that fat slob we have under center.

Pats have a lot of picks in these next two rounds, I could def see them screwing the Dolphins.

I see this happening as well. Grier has Pats written all over him. Most underrated QB in this class and may well prove to be the best of the bunch in due time.
