2019 NFL Draft Thread

Jags and Bills winning the draft RN. G-Men and Lions holding Ls. Reserving judgment for Oakland, since they have two other first-rounders.

Love the picks by Jags and Bills, but I have to hold out on Jones...And Hockenson is going to be great...I hate how much his stock rose since the end of the college football season. To his detriment, he's playing with Stafford.

Will Bradbury help Cousins perform better in prime time?

WR are going to fly off the board in the 2nd. Sucks the Jets can't get in on that party.

Not a lot of skill position guys, which shows a glaring trend in 2018/2019's NFL. It helps teams needing things like Oline, because a lot of guys I thought would go round 1 are still out there...I like the Bradbury pick for 'Sota, but after pick 15 or 16 I was saying they should just trade back at that point because there was still a ton of day 1 starters left on the board on the Oline...There still is...

Jaguars might be right back in the AFC championship with the signing of Foles and the drafting of Allen.

That defense is gonna be nasty and all Foles has to do is not **** it up.

I want us to grab AJ Brown in the worst way.

I’m more surprised by Metcalf. I was almost sure someone was gonna be enamored with his combine and grab him.

They said that man was going too 10

We've seen really good and pretty bad from Foles...all dependent on situations. There's no guarantee he carries over his Eagles' production to year 1 with the Jags.

I think he's overrated, but everyone else seems to love him and he was drafted by NE, which always makes me feel like I'm missing something.

well, we traditionally under bill have missed on most our higher round WR draft picks. malcolm mitchell was the best one and he had to retire a few seasons into his career. so you might be right

chad jackson
bethel johnson
jabar gaffney
aaron dobson
brandon tate

all flubs :smh:

His combine was overrated. Great 40 and bench and whatever, but the cone and shuttle drill exposed his rigidity. He's not a 1st round caliber WR whatsoever in my opinion and never was. He got himself some additional $, but he won't do much in the NFL outside of a few explosions here and there.

Agreed.

I need Lynch to take AJ Brown.

He’s the best in the draft.

And I think folks should sit tight on Daniel Jones...Duke was a tough out all season and while he didn't jump off the screen at you, his resemblance to Eli can be a positive in the NY market. I hate writing off guys so early and usually I have no issues doing that with QB's, but Jones really does have that Eli-ness to him in that he's the I'm-oblivious-to-everything-and-everyone-around-me-and-I'm-just-a goober-who-can-throw-a-spiral(and, oh, did someone just hit me? It's cool, man...I'm a weirdo, feel nothing and will now drop an unsuspected dime on your best DB...riiggghtt...now)-with-no-emotions whatsoever-and-we'll-see-what-happens kinda guy.

I don't know if it was talked about, but the Chargers with a low-key GREAT pick. Mostly because their Dline is already stacked, so Tillery complements the others nicely, but I think that one kinda flew under the radar.

They needed the size as well. NE embarrassed them in the playoffs.

One last thing that I noticed is that the Bosa brothers are related by marriage to the Kumerow's....I didn't know that the elder Kumerow was in the NFL, but Jake Kumerow of Wisconsin White-Water was dominant in college in 2015 and I posted about him previously as a sleeper in that years draft. He hasn't done **** yet, but that stood out to me because I knew the name Kumerow. Too bad he plays with that selfish biotch, Rodgers. Just funny the lineage that gets created sometimes.

Can't even remember that game off the top of my head, to be honest. I figured they went Dline to try and bolster the attempt to contain Mahomes to reclaim that division...

As an aside, I think Mahomes regresses to the mean of his style of play and comes close to doubling his interception total next season.

He’s a stud and a RAC guy. Also a great kick returner which they needed.

He’s def not a deep threat though or even really a guy I see getting open against NFL corners so I don’t see the value as a 1st rounder... Like he’s not gonna give you 10 catches a game in NEs paper cut offense and he’s not taking the top off a defense so where is the top 30 pick reasoning there? That’s he’s the best of a so so bunch so they wanted to lock him up rather than take no one?

Which would all be fine and dandy if he had a modicum of a young Eli’s arm talent.

Dude is a wet noodle armed with a wet noodle.

Arm talent. :lol

Hate that term, but I know what you mean...I still stand by what I said though...Reading, recognition and touch are still the most important aspects of being a successful quarterback over the long run...We'll see...

....what yall think of Fant?

Couldn't believe my Broncos passed on Bush and Haskins.

Whose gonna to be the Lions next coach and GM?

Them boys getting fired by Week 11.

Hockenson's the goods...I just don't know if Patricia can find a defense in time to stay competitive in that division. Packers suck, we know that for sure...so, it's just a matter of if Cousins can get it together (likely) and the Bears can replicate last season (highly unlikely)....Lions a shroud of uncertainty, but there's room for optimism in there...

And he’s not particularly adept at reading defenses.

He had a 52 TDs to 29 INTs across his Duke career. If we wanted another guy who like Eli can make some absolutely baffling turnovers then **** we got our man.

We could’ve gotten him in the 2nd. Hell maybe even the 3rd.

We could’ve gotten a guy who threw for 50 scores in his sophomore season or a guy with back to back 30+ TD campaigns against tougher competition in Will Grier but nah.

Nah.

We took the 0 star recruit who might sit for three years.

Yeah I’ll be sure to not sleep on that guy.

At least he got the derpy looking face down pat.
