2019 NFL Draft Thread

RG3 was fast but not quick.

Track guy.. but I bet he'd struggle with the 2 and 4 because of the curve

But you could be like usain where you're just THAT fast that even if the curve ain't your strength, it doesn't matter.. I'd throw ginn in that group, who obviously was a great returner without the quick cuts like other guys

Desean had/has effortless speed.. Hester has the quickness, but I'm sure he'd get dusted in a 100 by couple dudes

Facts about DJax looks easy as **** for him to run same with Hill, Odell espescially Ed Reed. Man would look like he was he was walking really really fast in a return

Opposite of this gift would be someone like Taylor Mays. I’ve never seen someone muscle through a 40 like that  , and he still ran something nasty like 4.3

to be honest some of the drills you gotta watch it to see how comfortable the guy is even doing it.. like with metcalf you see him slipping.. but you gotta check the tape with that sorta stuff AND of course actual watch the guy do it

Exactly this. There's more to athleticism than just the raw numbers. Scouts are looking for fluidity of the hips, how smooth these guys come in and out of breaks, are they balanced? Can you show them something once and they can comfortably perform? There's a lot that goes into the evaluation than taking just the numbers for the 40 and 3 cone drill, etc.

Hakeem Butler is my favorite receiver in this class, I love the fact that his hype train isn't picking up steam (yet). Would love for the Hawks to snag him

As Champ alluded too, his biggest weakness is lapse in concentration. He probably could have had another 250+ yards on passes he dropped alone. Hit you in the hands passes, not hit your fingertips type stuff. I feel like he can overcome that though. He's a very good football player.

Nice to see him bounce back after a tough week in Mobile. I think he's the third best QB in this draft, poor mans Baker IMO.

I'm gonna need Washington to call up my JETE for that 3rd overall.

I'm with it, especially if you can land 'Trill' Grier in the back-end of R4. Not with the Daniel Jones and Drew Lock wave.

Thoughts on Clayton Thorson and Jarrett Stidham? Anybody willing to take a late flier on Tyree Jackson? No clue why he didn't return for his senior year at Buffalo.

Not liking this QB class at all. I like Haskins the most, but I'd pass on everyone else.

Both his likely NFL receivers are gone. Johnson graduated, and Osbron transferred to Miami. There was some Wisconsin buzz for a minute (this might of been why Hornibrook decided to transfer) when he entered the portal but it never materialized. MSU should have offered him the job ( he's from MI) but I don't think they were interested.

I like Stidham but he really struggled last season and it was to the point where I don't think you could blame it all on a sub-par supporting cast and play calling. I think his peaks are better than guys like Jones and Lock (2017 Bama, and this season against UW) but the valleys are probably lower as well. He's a good value for a team as a dev guy in like the 5th or 6th though. Ideally going to a place like KC and becoming one of Andy's reclamation projects would be a good fit for him.

Easton Stick is my favorite sleeper guy. I think he has a chance to stick in the league as a quality back up.

Your not worried about him against pressure? He looks great when clean, but things kind of go to **** when he's not.

Giant's fans aren't going to like this but going with Eli for one more year and improving the OL through another draft/FA cycle before letting Haskins play might be the best option. Haskins is really going to struggle behind that OL if they ask him to play year one.

Our line was better the second half and we added some more this offseason. If I had to guess, I’d guess our OL should be around 15-20 this year which ain’t great but still a lot better. I think Haskins will be okay with it

Idk why his team had him put on all this bad weight for a guy who clearly wins with speed and burst.

Please dear lord baby Jesus let him somehow fall to the eagles in the 2nd

No clue who this dude is, but good lord

Funny for how bad of a combine/pro day he's had, his interviews might be worse. Super cringe hearing him say he didn't like interviewing with certain teams because they were hard on him, or nitpicking at his game. Then to top it off he says he doesn't watch film :wow: |l

Whoever was supposed to coach him and prep him for this pre draft process did mans no favors at all
