One knock on Brees is that unlike Rodgers and Manning he missed the playoffs many times. Rodgers and Manning made/make they playoffs every year no matter what their teams weaknesses were. Brees seems to need more help to make it happen.

He’s top 5ish all-time still probably.

Yep. Before last season, there were conversations being had about Brees/Payton similar to what's being said right now about Rodgers/McCarthy.

Killing last year's draft revitalized Brees' career and probably saved Payton's job.
