what does that have to do with being the goat or not? its a situational question. but line my boy TO wide and get eveyone else out the way. if need be, TO isnt afraid of the middle of the field

Moss benefited from CC getting doubled? Myth. 125 targets to 124 targets between the two in their first season in 1998. 1B to CC’s 1A because he was that good at 20 years old.

Other than posting stats, what could rice do that moss couldn’t?
I know who was the better vertical threat, the more athletic receiver, the guy that could create better separation and was just an all around better receiver. Moss.

These media outlets need to stop doing this.
There's plenty of well versed and educated adults that would love to get a position like this that studied communications or sports broadcasting.
It's cool to get a former players perspective on the game, but more often than not they're awful at commentary lol

the 13 td state was not to highlight ability but production.
moss's prime had carter and prime welker. defenses had to choose. TOs prime (after rice) didnt have another big threat like moss did to line up with. hence defenses focused on TO more.
moss was a freak a wr. intangible athletic ability. but rice and TO were more complete receivers. you want to talk about athleticism, moss. complete receivers, rice and TO.

Now if yall wanted to make a better argument; I could understand and damn near agree with the notion that Moss is the most gifted or talented receiver we've ever seen.
Some of you are conflating the two.
Greatest ≠ Best
For example, Brady is the "greatest" but Rodgers is the "best" or "most talented" we've ever seen. Mahomes is coming for this title though.
