2018 NFL Draft Thread

Teams at the top of the draft should go any position other than QB and tank again...If I'm a GM, I want Tua.

You might think it's silly for me to say that after only 1 half of football, but check my track record.

if i'm in the top 10 (whether i'm the browns, giants, yada yada)...i'm going defensive side of the ball :lol

maybe OL

stopped reading after that....

"doing good" in football isn't just about stats and box scores. it's mind blowing you haven't realized that considering how much you do watch and discuss football with us. people like you look at a 300+ yard game from Blake Bortles and assume he played great leaving out the fact that he got 120 of those yards in garbage time with his team down 83 points and the defense playing soft. people like you is why the average football IQ of a "fan" is worse than the president's IQ. people like you have damn near ruined football takes and network analysis who now dedicate hours to fantasy talk.

so miss me with all that nonsense with the fantasy stats equating to great play on the field

still love you tho, bruh

There’s obviously going to be outliers like Bortles once in a while in any sport but for the most part you know what you’re doing if you’re choosing the correct matchups each week.

If I’m “cursing” players because I thought Josh Freeman was going to be great after his 2010 season like a million other people then I’ve cursed damn near the whole league each week.

It's weird how often NFL scouts just compare players because they look alike.

Flashbacks to every RB with dreadlocks being compared to Marshawn Lynch.

His movement in the pocket is actually very similar to Russell. The only obvious big difference is Tua is a lefty...but I’d say he’s actually a legit comparison.

Nah I believe it in this case, but you have to admit it happens a lot with NFL scouts. Very transparent.

Same way every mobile QB is Michael Vick or every lightskin shooter is Klay Thompson

Seen a lot of CBs with dreads compared to Sherman as well. I feel like the NFL comparisons are particularly lazy but it does happen with a lot of sports.

If you are running the Browns right now, what plan do you go with?

Do you take QB at #1, and Barkley at #4, and maybe go Defense with all your 2nd and 3rd round picks?

Or do you sign Cousins, Barkley at #1, and say......Roquan at #4 and BPA from there on?

Or even, sign Cousins, go with Bradley Chubb at #1, Minkah Fitzpatrick at #4, and take a RB/WR in round 2?

1) see if I can get a team within the top 5 to trade up for a QB.. hell see what offers trams throw out for any of the picks

2) I'm targeting chubb, Barkley, and then Oline with whatever I got in the top 10

Cousins going be 30 next year, so that's a no on that

Its not like you have to be super young to be effective as a quarterback in the NFL. If they signed Cousins while stockpiling good draft picks that would be a huge win for them IMO

Not saying you do.. just don't think cousins would be the right move for them.. Jacksonville, yes

I don't believe they will get him, but the Browns go after Cousins.

Let's say the sign him... draft Chubb #1, Minkah #4 or possibly Barkley if he drops. Possible when 2 QBs hit 2nd and 3rd picks.

BPA, they need help everywhere but do have some talent. The coaching needs to be better.

I'd look to add on TE and WR in round 2. Round 3 look for backers and corners.

Speaking of comparisons, Michel is already due to be the next Kamara.

It’s possible...I really like the comparison of him to Tevin Coleman though

Coleman is a beast in his own right though so that’s no slight on Michel

this one

minkah, chubb, roquan...2 of the 3

Sony Michel has elite shake. I don’t see that out of Coleman. And Sony, while explosive, does not seem to have that top gear that Kamara has.
