2018-2019 NFL Week in Review - Week 15 - Jared throws a Gofful interception

Mcvay is a bad coach now? Stop.

i don't know if it's Father time causing that, but you're spot on with the not stepping straight into throws. has been an issue all year. when he does, the zip and everything is there. but this year the mechanics been off and i think it's the lack of trust in the OL. either way, that needs to be fixed
Besides him trollin Skip, Shannon made some good points @ 2:00

yea.. i'm trying figure this one out.. now last night gave me concern, because i know my team.. hell, you know my team.. it's why eli/mcadoo/OBJ had so much success in that 1st game last season

and now we're playing backups to backups in the secondary.. aint exactly hard to attack our defense.. dline gotta play otherworldly to give defense a chance

:pimp::pimp::pimp:

One of these days I'm going to pull them receipts on everyone who said after the Mack trade we would still be trash and last in the division....

Not today tho...not today

McVay is not a bad coach, but the team did not look prepared yesterday and they have lost some of their muster since starting off so hot. Part of it is what casper90403 casper90403 mentioned in that Goff lost his safety blanket in Kupp, but regardless, McVay was made out to be a boy genius coach and someone who was the epitome of this new wave of offensive scheme and playcalling and his offense is now coming out flat and looks completely different because teams have shown that they've learned how to defend against it. If anything, it's clear he's not as far along as people though and he's still got a ton of learning to do.

is it though? I dont think it takes a genius to know you should run GUrley more than 12 times against Philly and 11 against the Bears. Both games were close so there was no excuse to not run him. Its bizarre.

I mean, seriously, does he have to be a genius to know you gotta run the ball if you want to help Goff out??

When this season is over for the Rams in January, we'll hear more about this, just a hunch. Kupp is a huge loss but there's something else going on that we don't know about. And like I said 3 weeks ago, Gurley is hurt. Nobody can tell me he's not. Dudes body language isnt the same

Is it what?

I'm saying he was touted as this offensive mastermind and if he can't understand that you need to give the ball to Gurley then that proves my point. People showered him with praise and maybe he's not to the Sean Payton level everyone thought...He's not.

Some of these coaches make it way harder than it has to be and I saw that with DeFelippo first hand. You can gave a great mind and be a so-so coach. There's levels to it. Like I said, I don't think he's a bad coach, he just lost his way a bit and he's probably trying to hard to still out smart everyone when all he needs to do is stay true to his personnel and players and they'll do the work for him.

What i was trying to get at was I think there's something else going on for him to not use GUrley. He doesnt become a genuis for thinking of using him, but he also doesnt lose the genius label for not using him. I think this is deeper. And when you don't get to use GUrley like you normally can, it affects everything.

I hate the word genius. You're only as good as the personnel you have. You put the plays in place based on what you have to work with. And in this case, he's coaching as if someone cut his arm off. The misdirections plays have become few and far between. All they seem to do is call play action. No deep balls. Everything within 20 yards. The field has shrunk without Kupp, and without using Gurley like they did in weeks 1-10.

Ah. I see what you mean. Could be.

I wouldn’t be playing Gurley. He’s clearly hurt, why rush him back. Let him heal and get better for the playoffs.

McVay looked like he didn’t make halftime adjustments.

Did Wade Phillips lose his players or they just old and trash now? That defense is a serious problem.

Gurley, though might be hurt, is still effective. They haven't accomplished anything and could lose a bye at this rate...They need to play their guys.

I feel like Gurley hasn’t been good the last 2-3 games. It’s because of his knee and because they’re not using him. I’m assuming he’s not getting as many touches because of his injury. I’d rather get a healthy Gurley than an okay Gurley for the playoffs.

we need that bye man.

I'm a Vikings fan for the next 2 weeks. Bear @Vikings in the last week is a big one. Vikings win and the Rams can pull the starters against SF in the last week. We have the afternoon game to.

Skol dammit

Rams offense and defense gave me serious concern yesterday

For example, Smallwood sucks in pass protection.. like really really sucks, if he's in it's more than likely because he's running it.. they don't trust Adams a ton in the passing game, so if he's in you don't really gotta commit to him in the passing game

Also I'm glad we played wiz over seumalo.. but Donald should have been lined up against the left side of our line all night so he could attack peters and the LG

Been over the offense already.. but all mcvay had to do was watch the saints and cowboys games to figure out what to do
