Not if you’re trying to cut payroll and you are willing to trade Betances & Warren to do so. Then Todd isn’t worth it at all

Todd is worth keeping around just for what he does for the team from an emotional stand point.

These things dont show up in box scores but unquestionably important for a young team with no clear cut outspoken veteran.

Hes just a positive dude man and hes a spark bottom line. If hes willing to stay for a price that doesnt affect anything in terms of keeping home grown talent or bringing on someone that can mesh with this team im all for keeping a guy like Todd on board.

i may be in the minority and say this almost embarrassingly...but i always liked knowing we can sign big name guys due to our payroll and the allure of playing for the pinstripes.

with that said i was always excited to see a guy like harper, machado and even trout (think its a long shot though) come here and play. but after watching this team, im more concerned with how a free agent will affect the chemistry. i trust the front office, and im glad this year happened just as an added realization for them, that this team is special and they actually play for each other. like when judge hits, sanchez hits and so on and vice versa.

a guy like harper scares me a bit only because of THIS GROUP. yea the dude could probably hit 50+ homeruns in yankee stadium but how will his attitude affect the club as a whole especially during runs like this

i think right now if they had to choose theyd look into bolstered the rotation. CC looks rejuvenated as well as tanaka even though hes not as old. but i can see them going after arms (rightfully so) instead of bats moving forward

i’ll never forget going to a game vs the pirates back in 05/06 and there were these 4 brolic guys , completely drunk. they was going up to pirate fans talking bout they wanna play full contact football in the parking lot.

He's the new Scott Brocious for this new squad. Stinks all year but just at the right time he does IT. I hated Brocious but went bonker when he killed San Diego alone. Thats Todd, he's gonna stink it up all year but he'll be at every old timers game in the future if we win one ...

amarano essentially more of what i wanted to say, the fact that alot of the guys here and coming will be a bunch that played together and grinded in the minors to be up in the majors together and growing together, its all a part of the intangibles that contribute to the specialness.

i'll never go on the record of saying that well get anything close to what we had in the 90s and even early 00s...but this is a special group in its own and from top to bottom, rotation to bullpen...without future free agent signings, i WOULD say that it has the potential to be a more talented roster.

gonna be a fun time in NY for years to come.
