Feel like people forget about this pickup game of ball leading to A-Rod and only remember the HR
. That being said, I don't think Boone is even hired by ESPN if it wasn't for that Game 7 moment.Interesting choice as the hire, will likely be Cashman's 'yes man', but a part of me doesn't really hate it. I think having attended that Game 7, I'll always have a soft spot for him.
