So it isn't free?
You'll most likely have to file a paper return. Were you trying to claim any dependents? I see a common problem being that people try to claim a dependent that somebody else has claimed all ready. Whoever files their return first will get it and then the other persons return will get rejected and then will have to file paper. Also, could be a name problem the Social Security Admin might have your name wrong. Other than that please post up the rejection code so we can assist you better.

Turbo tax out here crankingCats don't bother reading anymore man
I filed yesterday as well and basically had the same "Accepting" time as you. Vibes for those quick and easy direct deposits!!Filed yesterday morning. State and Fed were "Accepted" within the hour.
Any chance I'll get hit with my direct deposit next week?
Should have went with freetaxusa lol

Should be , Itemized deductions are free, 1040's are free . Federal is free .Freetaxusa still free if you have to file schedule D?
Good info Wally . Will see if md has free state filing next year.
Yea people really think too far into it. These tax software companies are literally just filing out a pdf for you and submitting it to the IRS and your states tax department. That's it, it's not worth paying over $20 total for IMO . I am trying to get it to as close as free for state and fed as possible.
Since the return was rejected last year you have to file paper to get that return into the state taxing authority. Are you in IL and did you try to file with Turbo Tax Last year? If so this quick google search came up with your problem:You'll most likely have to file a paper return. Were you trying to claim any dependents? I see a common problem being that people try to claim a dependent that somebody else has claimed all ready. Looking back at the rejection emails from last year I see 1040-8000-2 something about an issue with validating the signature
Only credit is if you purchased through a program I believe, or if you have any energy credits like for solar panels, energy efficient upgrade etc.Are there any tax credit for your first home?
Granted I've only made 4 payments on the mortgage, I was suprised my return barely changed. I entered all the tax info from my mortgage company and bank.
From what i've seen 1099-B's don't get mailed until late Feb so they get to people late Feb/March then people's accountants are super busy so they get pushed to the back of the line which causes delays in filing. For those with lots of investments do you wait to file closer to March/April?
