I'm going by whatever movies I could watch everyday, not which movies won awards.

Little Giants, The Sandlot, Above the Rim aren't winning any awards at all but I could watch those movies everyday.

Exactly.. the popular movie ain't going win the awards.. and sometimes the academy and other awards folks go overboard trying pick the artistic film

They really do. Some of the **** that wins half the time, I'm like come on son. Y'all trying way too hard to be artistic and different.

The movies I'm thinking of were flat out good movies. Nothing weird or artsy. Just bonafide classics.

The best by that standard boxing movie, by most people's standard is a hard movie to watch.. great movie.. but it's brutal

One of my favorite comedic sports movies. Besides the humor, like that it's loosely based on a true story. John Candy. Doug E Doug. Malik Yoba. great re-watchability factor.


and for the boxing stans, like the poster says, this movie is Rocky on ice!!!
