Don't think he's seeing eye to eye with Payton and wants a bigger role in the offense.

He's in the last year of his rookie deal too.

1st, easily

2nd, doesn't he have an extra year as a 1st rounder.. we took Jordan Matthews in the 2nd that year and he's going into his last year

thought first got team options for 5th year and 2nd rounders' got 4 year deals 
 
Cooks seems pretty replaceable to me in that offense and I dont think he'll be worth paying if im the Saints.

1st rounder for him is a steal if that goes down

he barked about his role last year and Michael Thomas probably allows him to be expandable to help add pieces on defense
 
Mike Thomas is a superstar.

Brees could throw for 5K yards with 3 fans from the crowd at WR. Might as well see what you could get for Cooks & start building a defense.
 
You might as well just say the Jets are interested in every QB out there

The reason I'm more high on landing Taylor over any other QBs (Glennon, McCarron, etc) is because he actually has starting experience with decent success. Better than any option on the roster right now.

Tho I could totally see them offering Geno a 1 year to come back :{ .
