this.

i got a chance to see Kerr speak at a local college event and someone asked him about his rotations and why he's so insistent on getting "rotation guys in." kerr mentioned that his role off the bench as a player impacts a lot of his coaching philosophy and that to this point, having dudes on the bench play consistently throughout the season means that they're ready to step in during the playoffs, and not just during the end of blowout games. he also mentioned some other stuff about making sure everyone is incorporated into the team and has an opportunity to shine.

i see his point and you see how it works. while i find that **** frustrating at times, you can see the confidence he has in dudes like iggy, mccaw, shaun, dwest, and ian clark; and for the most part, it's paid off.

for the sake of tonite, i need kerr to fall more in love with javale and keep zaza on a tight leash. zaza has been really disappointing in the finals, seems like the moment is too big for him. it reminds me of how bogut ran out of gas in 2015 by the time the finals came around.
For real. I don't know why Zaza getting so many minutes. And Ian Clark isn't getting any work. He's been decent the entire year.

Do Warrior fans hate ZaZa as much as everyone else?

zaza's got three jobs:

-box out with his big *** self
-make the easy lay up because he's always open
-set picks on the perimeter

how he does:

-watches the ball get shot and falls asleep on who he needs to box out
-has gotten passive and scared of the rim in the finals
-gets called for an offensive foul on a dumb screen 2x a game

i can't stand zaza but at this point, besides javale, he's the only true C we have. i hope he proves me wrong tonite and drops a 10-and-10.

Reason why McGee not getting consistent minutes this series. It's basically a layup line everytime he gets in the game cause he's fouling so much.

I know the sample size is small but he's gotta be better than that.

zaza has been really stupid on setting screens this series. dude blatantly is grabbing guys to get curry open. its annoying af because curry makes the shot and its waved off.

Zaza almost ended Kds career and gave the warriors More hate fuel with that stupid close out against the spurs

I didn't hate him when he was in ATL.

He is a much better player that most of my fellow Warrior fans want to admit.  He is a much better all around player than JaVale McGee is, but he doesnt provide that offensive spark that JM does....so people hate on him.  When looking into screen setting, floor spacing, help defense, defensive positioning, passing, shooting.....Zaza is light years better than McGee.  But when he has a bad game like he has in games 3 and 4, he gets all sorts of hate even by fellow Warrior fans.

People have already forgotten he played good basketball in games 1 and 2.

KD Finals MVP

A person has paid $133,000 on the Warriors resale site for 2 floor tickets to tonight's Game 5 of the NBA Finals. It is an NBA record sale.

i don't find the closeout against kawhi in any way malicious. i think we've been paying more attention to how people closeout since zaza-on-kawhi and it's noticeable that so many defenders closeout on shooters like this. i mean watch how people have closed out on steph, love, jr, klay, KD and kyrie..it looks like they're giving barely any space for shooters to land.

i think people forget that kawhi HAD JUST rolled that same ankle 5 or 6 minutes prior. we've all played sports and we all know that once you're injured, you start overthinking simple movements (like jumping and landing) which can change how you follow through on those motions.

zaza has been buns on help defense this series especially with his slow rotation. in a series where draymond will get pulled off Love to help with a driving Bron or Kyrie, you need zaza/or whoever is center, to at least run out on Love on the corner to contest. zaza has not be quick enough to do so while javale has barely received an opportunity to be on the court. when he has been on the court, Javale is at least altering kyrie's attempts at the rim

we don't need zaza or javale to be scorers but we do need them to defend the rim and get extra possessions on the offensive glass. javale's been way more efficient and better at doing these things
