so heat fans are the only ones who thought with bosh healthy the heat wouldve been in the conference finals? really? its like yall have horse blinders on 99% of the time whenever you're trying to make points.Notice all the guys that been responding the same way to this are Heat fans.
jimmy. have u read this page at all? do i have to explain it to you? and the heat are on the decline when wade just had his best year in 3 years, jj added, 2 rookies showing high ceilings, dragic finally playing better, and the heat were in 4th place this year from 10th last year and thats without bosh for at least half the season... BUT... on the decline. makes perfect sense
Those guys all took a paycut after they had been paid and to win. You are basically asking a kid who has been making like $1M a year to take a 5M a year paycut to play on a meddling eastern conference team on the decline.

Wade is 34 years old with Knee problems, Bosh likely will never play again, JJ is also 34 years old, Dragic had his worst statistical season since 2011, and unless I am mistaken, the only rookie of relevance for the heat was Winslow.jimmy. have u read this page at all? do i have to explain it to you? and the heat are on the decline when wade just had his best year in 3 years, jj added, 2 rookies showing high ceilings, dragic finally playing better, and the heat were in 4th place this year from 10th last year... I'm surprised that Durant gave a meeting to the clippers. He's basically the missing piece that they need. I'm sure it would be a sign and trade IF it happened.
wade being 34 doesnt counter the FACT that i said he had his best season in 3 years. bosh is up in the air. JJ is a shooter we needed. thats a piece, hes a vet. dragic turned it around in the post season and took over multiple games. and you are mistaken, richardson the other rookie was far more impressive than winslow. the only thing you got right in anything you said was the ages. wanna try again or just take the L and worry about trying to sign our center to your team?

Maybe I am missing something here, but nothing in the above tells me that that is an "up and coming team" and not a team on the decline.

Yep, all Heat fans.
I think its funny when people say stuff like "a lot depends on Bosh's health." Well no ****. You gonna count on him like that? Not to mention Wade.
Heat ain't looking all that promising. So close to being a team that wins 40 games per year.
whiteside CAN afford to lose a few mil for the sake of the team, if HOF bound bosh, wade, AND lebron could do it...so can he. yes his family may be broke, but this is the same team that
So you realistically don't think that Wade is going to decline at all? Like, you think for the next 5 years of Whitesides contract he is going to keep this pace up? Same with JJ? You literally didn't dispute a single thing, you just said that these people had a good season which is correct, but in the end, father time always wins and the Heat are old as ****.

Not to mention at 27...this is the one and only chance he'll have at a max deal.
So if you were whiteside looking at the players on your team, you wouldn't factor in the fact that half your team is going to be 39 in the last year of the contract or either be forced into medical retirement?
people love to try and say irrelevant facts in hopes that it confuses you on the topic at hand.
"wade had his best season in 3 years"
"yea... but wade is 34."
"the heat lost the #2 scoring option for half the year and moved up SIX places in ranking, they cant be on the decline."
"yea, but dragic had his worst season since 2011."
youre very confused, why would i DISPUTE something you said when you're challenging MY points about the heat being on the rise. wade will decline, but after losing weight dude is playing better than he has in a long time. time is undefeated, but citing his age to support your statement of him being on the decline, after him having one of his best years is pretty stupid. why would we even sign wade to a 5 year contract to worry about the next 5 years of whitesides? what sense does that make? jj is a shooter. he needs to shoot. what pace? AND DESPITE THE HEAT BEING OLD (forget the fact that whiteside himself is 27, and rich, winslow both younger than him are clearly the new phase of the team) WE STILL IMPROVED BY 6 PLACES. I'm still trying to find out how you move up 6 places in a conference while declining.

Again, being on the decline doesn't just indicate THIS year. I don't think anyone is looking at the current Heat's roster and saying "hey, that is a team that will improve".

if im whiteside, i know that ill be the face of the team within 2-3 years. the face of miami. *dj khaled voice* i like that. surrounded by allstar and HOF vets, new young talent, and in an attractive market where bringing in more talent isnt an issue. but sure... tunnel vision.

I'm not just talking about next year guy. His contract will undoubtedly be longer than 1 year or do you have tunnel vision that bad that you can't see that eventually, 3/5 of your starting lineup is on the decline or is going to have to retire?
So you want him to wait until his is 30, half his prime is over, to become the new face of the team and bank on free agents coming to make the team better? Why not leave now, get paid max money, and go to a situation that will be better in the future?

and now.... everything makes sense.point blank, the Lakers future is way brighter than the Heat, no question about it. Whiteside could be left holding the bag in 2-3 years.
Glen Rice was my boy though. I was rocking that #41 Heat jersey
