Papi broke up Darvish's 1 hitter in then 9th.
Such a joke that was ruled an error.
Tough luck for Belt
How do you break up a 1-hitter?

That's the joke... It should not have been a no hitter into the 9th.
Just so I'm not crazy are you arguing that the ball Rios didn't catch should have been ruled a hit?

Absolutely. That play is never, ever, called an error.
"In baseball statistics, an error is the act, in the judgment of the official scorer, of a fielder misplaying a ball in a manner that allows a batter or baserunner to advance one or more bases, when such an advance would have been prevented given ordinary effort by the fielder."
If you don't think that was an error, you are ******ed
If a ground ball goes through a fielder's legs or a fly ball falls untouched and, in the scorer's judgment, the fielder could have handled the ball with ordinary effort, the official scorer shall charge such fielder with an error.

The official scorer shall not score mental mistakes or misjudgments as errors unless a specific rule prescribes otherwise

hey to me it was an error But Im just sayin' its not that black and white
The official scorer shall charge an error to a fielder who causes another fielder to misplay a ball
Should that play be an error? Yes
Is that play ever called an error, besides tonight? No
I only have a problem with it because it is never, ever, called that way.
When you see a ball fall between OF'ers and IF'ers like that, it is never called an error, period.
For the dude saying you're a moron for not thinking that's an error . Watch some more baseball and see how that's usually called.
Too make things even worse, they've gave the error to Rios and not the second baseman
That play is called a hit in the first inning. It should be a hit in the 3rd, 9th and in a no hitter.
If they want to consistently call it an error, fine, but you don't start making that change during a no hitter.
